Presenting at the IM4US Conference 2022, "Speaking the Language in HRO Systems as LAcs."
Oct

to Oct 8

Presenting at the IM4US Conference 2022, "Speaking the Language in HRO Systems as LAcs."

This talk's aim is to help attendees who are new to working as professionals in the U.S. healthcare system to improve their cultural competency (terms, language, ideas) around "safety" and what this term means in the subculture of U.S. healthcare, especially as related to the new High-Reliability Organization (HRO) model.

While my focus is on acupuncturists, much of the content is applicable to many integrative health professionals new to working in the healthcare system or an HRO model of healthcare.

This presentation is based on some of the information we have been working on in the HHP's Safety in Practice Workgroup this past year.
