Big news! We are now a part of a 501c3 nonprofit!
From January 22nd, 2022, to March 2023, The Hospital Handbook Project for Acupuncturists and Their Hospital Sponsors was a program of Free Range Health®, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Federal Tax ID #45-4395933.
Feb 2024 update—In April 2023, HHP joined a new nonprofit, the Society of Hospital & Healthcare System-based Acupuncturists. Learn more about that transition here.
It’s been a long road and more than a year of negotiations, and we’ve made it!
On Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, I signed an agreement with Free Range Health, to bring the Hospital Handbook Project under their nonprofit umbrella. Free Range Health is a full 501c3 nonprofit. The Hospital Handbook Project is now a program of this 501c3.
What this means:
Any direct donations you make to the Hospital Handbook Project [between] January 22nd, 2022 - March 2023, may be eligible for a tax deduction.
Please note this official tax status statement, “The Hospital Handbook Project for Acupuncturists and Their Hospital Sponsors is a program of Free Range Health®, a 501 (c) (3) public charity. All or part of your donation may be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult with your tax advisor. Federal Tax ID #45-4395933.”
This new tax status also means we are eligible to apply for some grant funding. Though, for those of you familiar with grant funding, you know obtaining grant writing and reaching potential funders is a monumental task.
I am hopeful our new tax status means we are able to better fund the Hospital Handbook Project to keep it going this year and into the future.
Fundraising pages for our brief association with Free Range Health closed March 2023.
